The Mill Hotel Sudbury, Sudbury (Suffolk)

The hotel had some positives like a great location with beautiful surroundings, but there were a few drawbacks such as cleanliness and service issues. The dining was enjoyable overall, although it came at an additional cost.

I had a delightful stay at the Mill hotel. The rooms were cozy and conveniently located in a cottage by the car park. The service was professional, although there were some inconveniences with late check-in. The location was breathtaking with views of the pond and countryside, perfect for a peaceful retreat. The dining experience was excellent, especially considering the value for money. Overall, a wonderful experience with a few minor drawbacks.

I had a delightful stay at this hotel! The rooms were excellently presented with all the usual requirements for our stay, and I especially loved the dog-friendly rooms on the ground floor near the exit. However, the room was a bit small and lacked space for washing kit, which was a drawback for me. Unfortunately, it's not suitable for wheelchair users.

However, the staff, especially Chrissie at reception and a young waiter in the restaurant, were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient for exploring Suffolk villages, but the proximity to the sun terrace might be uncomfortable in warmer months. The dining options had some hits and misses, with good quality breakfast items but lacking in presentation and variety. Overall, it was a decent stay with some room for improvement.
